Brian Ballard is a partner in Women's Sports Nutrition and Director of Marketing and Sales. Ballard also contributes outstanding communication skills as WSN's Public Relations Consultant. He is an experienced international marketing manager and sales representative, having established and managed Amphenol International in Hong Kong and served as Far East Area Manager for Bunker Ramo Corporation for a four-year period. Ballard is a partner in several other businesses including Kwench Refreshments, a fresh fruit drink manufacturer. He is also a professional writer/editor/literary agent and enjoys writing articles about entrepreneurs, business, and the Internet. Ballard has a masters degree from the American Graduate School of International Management, previously known as the Thunderbird Institute, in Glendale, Arizona; in addition to a masters in humanities and three bachelor degrees in English, Political Science, and Mass Media. His interest in nutrition began in 1972 when, during a military tour in Japan, he began to practice yoga and meditation using the books of Richard Hittleman. He began to re-examine his eating and lifestyle patterns, eventually stopping smoking, and is becoming a lacto-vegetarian who strives to practice yoga, taichi, and meditation daily. This was quite a switch for a Texas boy who grew up thinking the best food in the world was a chicken-fried steak with lots of creamy gravy and greasy french fries. Ballard envisions Women's Sports Nutrition
as an opportunity to help promote targeted nutrition and a healthy lifestyle
to people all over the world, especially sports-minded women who are proactive
in building their health.
