It generally takes a minimum of three months to make permanent cellular changes within the body. Therefore, each personalized clinical and sports nutrition program is designed for a three-month period only. At that time, re-evaluation is necessary to make timely adjustments in your program so that you may continue to experience improvement in health and sports performance. To continue an old program past the three-month period without re-evaluation may negatively affect the body on a long-term basis. To have a working understanding of nutrition biochemistry, think of it this way: "What is good for your body today, may not be good for it tomorrow." As your internal biochemistry changes, so must your program. "Too much of a nutrient can be as detrimental as too little." In some cases, adjustments or changes in your clinical and sports nutrition program occurs in less than three months. For this reason, Monthly Progress Reports are essential to assess the need for potential monthly adjustments and to assess how well you are doing on your program.
